Today my cubbies and I went to Dinosaur Valley State Park in Glen Rose, Tx. I haven't been there in years. I remember when the dinosaurs' prints were discovered, and it became a state park. It was fun, we took the moderate hike along the river. My 1-year-old was strapped across me. That made the hike just tough on me. We were going up and down steep steps, crossing over rock paths in the shallow riverbed. Also, it was hot today for my little one to be strapped to me. The park rangers did a wonderful job teaching the crowd about the different dinosaur prints that were discovered there. My kids enjoyed walking around the riverbed with their shoes off feeling the cool water on their feet and cooling off a bit. Unfortunately, my girl slipped on the slick rocks. The walk to the river seemed to be fairly quick but the walk back to our car seemed to be long and slow (carrying a 20lb plus baby is tiring on a hot Texas day).
